Grouse Mountain Resort will be closed for the entirety of this week as it prepares to transition from summer to winter operations.

On its website, Grouse Mountain states that the closure is due to planned maintenance on the Skyride as well as a “scheduled BC Hydro power outage.”

As such, “there will be no public access to the Skyride and mountaintop facilities during this closure.”

The closure is in effect from Monday, November 2, until noon on Friday, November 6.

While the mountain and Skyride will not be operating, Guest Services at the base of the mountain will be open from 9 am to 5 pm with the exception of Wednesday, November 4, due to the power outage.

“With our reopening on Friday, November 6th we will be updating our policy on face coverings in keeping with current health authority recommendations,” the resort said. “As of November 6th, face coverings are required to be worn in all indoor areas of the Resort.”

The resort noted, however, that face coverings are not required while guests are seated and eating at one of the resort’s food and beverage outlets.
