Grouse Mountain is encouraging locals to rediscover the beauty of BC this month by giving away 100 free mountain admission tickets per day until July 31.

The promotion — which began Monday — sold out its first batch of tickets quickly.

“Today’s tickets definitely went quickly; they were all claimed within the first 15 minutes or so,” Julia Grant of Grouse Mountain Resorts told Daily Hive via email.

Those looking to get their hands on this freebie should note tickets are available online only as of 6 am daily for same-day visits. Skyride boarding time reservations are required as part of the free admission.

Included with admission, guests can visit with resident Grizzly bears Grinder and Coola at their mountaintop refuge, learn all about owls at the newly expanded Owl Interpretive Sessions, take in the unparalleled views from the Scenic Peak Chairlift, and enjoy the fresh mountain air while exploring the mountaintop.

“Also a reminder for people who don’t get one of the free tickets, we’re offering 50% off our regular Mountain Admission for the rest of this month as well,” adds Grant.
