Vancouver-based hospitality group to open new pub in former Browns Socialhouse

Vancouver-based Freehouse Collective (the same team behind popular spots Sing Sing, Lamplighter, and Clough Club) is debuting a new pub concept in the former Browns Socialhouse in Brentwood.
After an extensive overhaul of the space, the team is preparing to open the doors to Greyhound Tavern next week. Here, the space will operate as an authentic English-style pub that descends into a low-lit lounge after dark.
The interior is said to feature heavy millwork, deep booths, and eclectic art that gives the room that modern pub atmosphere.
As for the offerings, the bar will be pouring cold draughts and cocktails, supported by a kitchen serving up steaks, fresh-shucked oysters, and other tavern staples. Expect bites like Prawn Cocktails and Giant Onion Rings alongside house Spaghetti Bolognese and Fish and Chips.
Then, on weekend and holiday mornings, the menu will offer a brasserie-style brunch with options like Steak and Eggs, Benedicts, and Smoked Salmon Lox.
