Feb 3 2021, 7:54 pm

February is known as the month of love, mostly because of Valentine’s Day.

A day filled with chocolates, flowers, and gifts from your special someone – sounds cute, right? Yeah, it’s great…for the people in relationships.

For the sweet souls that are single as a Pringle, the pleasure of celebrating Galentine’s Day as aĀ February holiday is still on the table.

Galentine’s Day was first popularized by Leslie Knope,Ā a character from NBCā€™s hit comedy seriesĀ Parks and Recreation. This holiday, celebrated on the 13th of February, is a day to show love and appreciation to pals and celebrate friendship love.

While Galentine’s Day events might look a little different this year, celebrating friendship with your closest pals and loved ones can be done while being safe and abiding by health orders.

Whether it’s grabbing a hot chocolate and going for a walk or doing a virtual painting class in honour of the modern-day holiday, here are some ways to celebrate Galentine’s Day in Vancouver this year.
