New Westminster's free weekly food and street festival reveals summer dates
Summertime is just around the corner and the eatin’ is easy, especially with the return of food-fuelled celebrations to New Westminster.
Fridays on Front, the popular free block party series, has announced that it will fire back up starting on Friday, July 11, on Front Street Mews in Downtown New West.
One of the region’s best street parties, Fridays on Front highlights artisan vendors, musical performances, and, of course, a lot of great food. And it’s a quick walk from both the New Westminster and Columbia Skytrain Stations.

This year’s Fridays on Front happens every week from July 11 to 25 and picks back up from Aug. 8 to 22, between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Guests will be treated to live entertainment and music, children’s activities by Family Place, artisan vendors, and more.

A variety of local food vendors and trucks will also be on-site, and the events will be fully licensed, so you can expect to find boozy refreshments and delicious dishes from local spots.
Organizers also announced that this year’s event will see the main stage festivities hosted by acclaimed drag performer Justin Abit.
“Justin brings joy, inclusion, and major star power — and we can’t wait to have him at our stage,” Downtown New Westminster shared on social media.
Food truck applications are open now, and vendor applications will begin in the near future.
