Here's what's replacing Burgoo's now-closed downtown Vancouver location

Like us, many were surprised when Burgoo announced that it would be closing the doors to its downtown Vancouver location. Now, shortly after the restaurant officially closed its doors, we know what will be taking its place: French Creek Pub.
“What started as a local pub by the harbour on Vancouver Island has grown into something truly special, and we cannot wait to bring the energy, atmosphere, great food, and community spirit of French Creek Pub to the big city,” wrote the pub on its Instagram.

Originally located on Vancouver Island, French Creek Pub has been operating for 40 years, according to its website.
On the menu, you can find a selection of pub favourites. Think burgers, drinks, and award-winning fish and chips.
“A huge thank you goes out to the team at The Burrard Hotel for believing in our vision and working with us to create an incredible opportunity. Great partnerships matter in business, and we are extremely grateful to have such supportive and forward-thinking landlords to collaborate with,” added the pub.
An exact opening date for the new pub has yet to be announced, but it did share that patrons will be able to visit this summer.
