Decade-old Vancouver restaurant known for comfort food announces closure

Burgoo is best known for its selection of homemade soups, salads, sandwiches, pot pies, mac and cheese, and overall good vibes and relaxing atmosphere.
With its downtown location closing and North Vancouver now closed, folks looking to visit Burgoo can still head over to its outposts in Mount Pleasant and Point Grey (its first location, which opened in December 2001). Burgoo also closed its Kitsilano outpostĀ in 2020.
“We want to sincerely thank the wonderful community and our neighbours for all the love and support you’ve shown over the years. We are so grateful for our team members, past and present, who helped make this journey possible. We’d love for you to join us in our final days as we celebrate a decade of memories together. Thank you for 10 great years,” concluded the restaurant.
While an exact closing date was not included in the Instagram post, Dished confirmed with an employee over the phone that its final day will be Friday, May 29.
