Vancouver's biggest non-alcoholic wine, beer, and cocktail event returns

Nov 4 2026, 5:00 pm

The biggest event in the city for non-alcoholic beer, wine, and cocktails is officially returning, this time with over 40 drinks from some of the best local and international producers.

Dubbed “Free Spirit Vancouver,” the non-alcoholic party kicks off on Monday, Nov. 30, when folks will head to The Pleasant to sample plenty of great sips. Offerings range from the B.C. Okanagan Valley with Glimmer’s sparkling Chardonnay to Vancouver Island favourites like Sea Cider and Whistler Buoy Brewing.

There will also be options closer to home from Nonny, SideBar, and Edna’s Cocktail Co, as well as some tasty options from overseas, including gems from Domaine Des Grottes in France’s Burgundy region and Australia’s Edenvale winery, Germany’s GlowGlow, aperitifs courtesy of Everleaf in the U.K., and Italian favourites like Colibri’s Spumante RosĂ© and Dr. Zero Zero Amaro.

And don’t worry, there will be plenty available to take home at the on-site Free Spirit’s pop-up bottle shop, courtesy of Mocktails.

But the excitement doesn’t stop there, as Free Spirit is hosting a soirĂ©e on Dec. 1 where three of Vancouver’s coolest restaurants will come together for two 90-minute tasting sessions.

The event takes place at Mount Pleasant’s Michelin-starred Burdock & Co., where folks will experience a walk-around tasting experience with rotating snacks courtesy of Burdock & Co. alongside friends and colleagues from local farm-to-table icons The Acorn and Dachi.

Accompanying all the yummy bites will be a wide selection of pours from some of the most exciting non-alcoholic producers from Denmark, Austria, Germany, France, and beyond.

“Highlights will include Provence-style rosĂ©s from the Languedoc’s Domaine de Montrose, Burgundian botanical wonders from Domaine des Grottes, an exclusive biodynamic gem from cult-favourite Austrian winery Gut Oggau, stylish fizz from Copenhagen’s Arensbak, and expressive refreshments from Creek & Gully’s Naramata orchards, right in our own backyard,” wrote Free Spirit.

Tickets for both Free Spirit events can be found online.

Free Spirit events are produced by local sommelier Kurtis Kolt, who is also the co-founder of Top Drop.
