Fraser Health has relocated its Surrey COVID-19 testing centre and opened a new location with triple the capacity.

The Health Authority says that the new centre opened on Friday and is located at 14577 66th Avenue. With expanded services, it’s capable of conducting up to 800 tests a day, which represents an increase of approximately 550 more tests daily.

In addition to walk-in testing stations, the centre is equipped with four drive-thru lanes. Adults, as well as children between the ages of three months and 17 years, will be able to get tested.

Walk-in and drive-thru testing are already available and Fraser Health says an online booking tool for appointments will open on Saturday.

Walk-ins will take place as time and space permits, but the health authority says anyone needing to get tested is encouraged to book an appointment online.

The Fraser Health region currently has 10 COVID-19 test collection centres.
