Walk among ghosts during these after-dark graveyard tours in Metro Vancouver

Oct 4 2019, 6:11 pm

Nothing says Halloween like the spookiness of a graveyard at night.

And this October, you’ll have the chance to fully immerse yourself in just that, thanks to Fort Langley’s annual Grave Tales.

The evening events take place between October 16 and November 3, 2019.

Attendees will have their choice of either a two or three-hour program, in which local storytellers share eery stories, all while leading the group through the historic village at night.

And, of course, because it’s Halloween, be prepared to walk through the nearby graveyards.

The two-hour program of these tours begin at 7 and 8 pm and cost $17 (plus ticket fees). The three-hour program begins at 9 pm and costs $20. Attendees for both these events must be over the age of 17.

A youth edition of the tour is also held at 6 pm, with tickets available at $13 for youth and $17 for adults.

Tickets for all these events must be purchased in advance and can be found online.

Oh — and just in case you’re feeling extra brave, there’s also the option to stay overnight in Fort Langley’s oTENTiks. These “are approved on a case-by-case basis” for the 9 pm tours, and those looking for more information, or wishing to book one for themselves can contact Fort Langley National Historic Site.
