1,300 and counting: Canada's biggest whisky mecca is in Vancouver (PHOTOS)

Whether you’re into this drink or not, it’s pretty hard to step inside Fets Whisky Kitchen, check out their staggering double decker wall of whisky – one of the world’s most beloved bottled and distilled spirits – and not be left impressed.

The Commercial Drive eatery has over 1,300 kinds of whisky, and you can navigate the selection using the handy dandy Whisky Bible, AKA the whisky menu.

Fets’ website claims to have the largest whisky selection in the country, and their collection includes 250 cask strength single barrel bottles from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society.

Add bottles from over 100 Scottish distilleries and 11 countries to that collection, and you’ve got one serious whisky mecca in this East Van ‘hood.

Fets breaks its massive selection down into 10 categories: Scotch Malt Whisky Society, Islands, Highlands, Lowlands/Cambeltown, Speyside, American, Canadian, Irish, World, and Blends.

All of the whiskies live in the library behind the bar of the restaurant, which wouldn’t be complete without the moving ladder.

If you’re not sold on the whisky, rest assured the food here is also worth showing up for.

Fets’ offers an awesome and reasonably-priced brunch, and also whips up quality classics like grilled cheese and tomato soup and quesadillas all day long.

But really, at least come to look at this insane whisky wall, even if you’re not going to drink any (but you should probably drink some).
