After much-loved Squamish spot Fergie’s Café went up in flames in the early hours of April 3, 2018, loyal patrons weren’t sure if they’d ever get to enjoy the Sea-to-Sky institution again.

While no one was injured in the blaze, the building itself has suffered massive damage and only the trailer was saved from the small cafe located on the Cheakamus River by the Squamish Fire Rescue.

Now, over a year later, its owners have rebuilt the Sunwolf Riverside Resort spot and the cafe is celebrating its official re-opening, and let us tell you, this spot is stunning.

Up until today, the cafe was serving brunch outdoors from 9 am to 3 pm daily, now, folks can enjoy the chic, minimalist new 50-seat interior while they eat their grub and soak in the panoramic views.

In the warmer months, Fergie’s can seat up to 200 people with outdoor seating at communal tables and benches.

Chef Victor Pulleyblank leads the kitchen here, serving up brunch dishes daily until 3 pm made with locally sourced ingredients and house-smoked grub like Fergie’s potatoes and wild salmon.

Patrons can also enjoy seasonal craft beer, wine, cocktail, and espresso drinks too.

Some changes that have come with the new and improved Fergie’s include table service (it was formerly counter service), it’s no longer seat-yourself, and guests can add their name and number to a waitlist.

The parking lot has changed and is now at the first entrance, and access to Fergie’s has changed; guests follow the wooden walkway from the parking lot to the dining room.
