Woman's body found in dumpster fire in Langley

A woman’s body was found after a dumpster fire was extinguished in Langley on Friday morning.

Just before 6 am, Langley RCMP officers were called to the area of 20150 Langley By-Pass after firefighters discovered the body while putting out the fire.

The area surrounding the scene will be cordoned off for a significant amount of time, and police said at this point, there is a “limited amount” of information regarding the cause of the fire and the identity of the woman.

And while the identity of the deceased has not been confirmed, police said they are remaining “confident” the remains are not those of the missing person, Kristina Ward.

Police said they are currently in the evidence gathering phase; no further information will be provided at this time.
