There’s no doubt that the Evo Summer Cinema Series is one of Vancouver’s most popular summertime events.
The free, outdoor movie festival has entered its 11th year, bringing open-air classics to the Grand Lawn at Ceperley Meadows near Second Beach.
But with any free show comes a battle to secure the best seats.
Fortunately, event organizers have teamed up to let viewers reserve their seats ahead of time — and each reserved seat comes with tons of added benefits.
Moviegoers can now purchase tickets for the tentree Canopy Reserved Seating Zone — a front-row, VIP seat at one of the cinemas 200 cottage-style chairs. Reserved seating starts at $20 (plus fees and GST) but it’s more than just getting the best spot in the park.
Each reserved seat comes with a special gift bag from tentree, free popcorn from the concession, and a package of candy. Tickets also come with a free membership for Evo Car Share, along with 45 minutes of free driving time.
Not to mention, for every reserved seat purchased, you’ll help plant 20 new trees with the help of tentree.
For those that need more than just popcorn to snack on, the cinema has offered the choice of seven West End restaurants for a”dinner and a movie” offering.
Tickets for the offering cost $35 and include a three-course meal in addition to a VIP seat and all the added benefits. Participating restaurants include The Park, Bayside Lounge, Timber, Buckstop, Mumbai Local, and Mary’s on Davie.
Tickets for VIP seats or the cinema’s “dinner and a movie” offer can be purchased online.
