If you haven’t had the chance to stop by the Eden Cafe at 643 E Hastings Street in Vancouver, be sure you do in the future because there’s more to this spot than just quality coffee and food.

In addition to offering sandwiches, pastries, and caffeinated beverages to patrons, this spot puts all of its proceeds directly into the Eden DTES Program, a Coastal Church initiative.

The small business is a social enterprise that opened its doors earlier this year. It offers job opportunities for folks who may have a hard time finding work due to their past struggling with addictions and/or lack of experience.

The cafe is currently open Tuesday to Saturday from 8 am to 3 pm, so be sure to check it out the next time you’re in the neighbourhood.
