Death of senior found in Strathcona apartment ruled a homicide: VPD
Vancouver police say the death of a 60-year-old woman discovered in her Strathcona apartment is the city’s eighth homicide of 2019.
According to a release from VPD, a building maintenance worker discovered the body of Maggie Nelson in her apartment located near Keefer Street and Gore Avenue on October 16.

“The death appeared suspicious, and today investigators ruled it as a homicide,” said VPD, in a statement.
No arrests have been made and VPD investigators do not believe there is a risk to the general public.
