Former professional footballer David Beckham loves British Columbia, and he made that very clear when sharing his recent snowboarding adventure in the province on social media.
It was almost exactly this time last year that Beckham performed an accidental “triple somersault face plant” in the province during a different snowboard trip.
“Nothing like being in the powder with family,” Beckham wrote in his post today.
“Fun trip with great snow, great people and no injuries,” he added. He also gave his son the best picture award.
His son Cruz also posted pictures of the trip with the caption, “Oh Canadaaa.”

Some commenters suggested that Beckham was snowboarding at Island Lake Lodge near Fernie, B.C. Beckham was also in Fernie during his snowboarding trip last year.
“We’re so glad you go to experience how rad the cat skiing is at @islandlakelodge,” the Tourism Fernie account responded to his post.
Beckham posted several Instagram stories of his trip yesterday, featuring many comments about British Columbia and many maple leaf and Canadian flag emojis.

Beckham’s post has racked up over 120,000 views.
In light of all the political strife Canada is currently facing, the response in the comments was filled with jubilation and pride that a major celebrity like Beckham was celebrating the country and the province of British Columbia.
One follower commented, “Thanks for visiting our beautiful country!”
“Thank you for coming to the beautiful True North strong and free,” someone else said with a Canadian flag emoji.
Another user said, “Our country is beautiful with some sweet people! Hey?”
Others thanked Beckham for supporting Canada. Fortunately, there were no face plants this year.
