If you look carefully, you can spot the first signs of spring around Metro Vancouver.
Yellow daffodils at English Bay made an appearance this weekend, adding some colour to the grey winter landscape.

In Burnaby, Daily Hive reader Withya Navaratnarajah spotted an early-blooming cherry blossom tree back in January.

It’s not much, but it makes us hopeful that spring is on the way. There’s only a month left of winter, and in six weeks we’ll be celebrating the annual Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival.
It’s a good reminder to squeeze in all those winter activities you’ve been meaning to do: go skiing, go snowshoeing, and bundle up in your coziest sweaters before it gets too warm.
