Coronavirus exposure identified at East Vancouver high school

Vancouver Coastal Health has identified potential coronavirus exposure at Gladstone Secondary School.

The health authority says staff and students at the East Vancouver high school could have been exposed to coronavirus on several days this month: September 16 to 18, and September 21 to 22.

Contact tracers will work to contact the coronavirus patient’s close contacts, and school boards say those who have not been contacted directly can still come to school.

Gladstone Secondary, which is near Nanaimo and Kingsway, remains open despite the coronavirus exposure.

Vancouver Coastal Health lists current school exposures on its website, however some schools have reported confirmed coronavirus cases that don’t appear on VCH’s list.
