Popular Michelin-recommended bar and restaurant lands in new Vancouver neighbourhood

Fans of Chupito, rejoice! The concept, which previously operated as a seasonal outdoor patio off W Hastings Street, now has new digs that’ll be open no matter the weather.

The former Gastown destination became an instant favourite with locals and visitors when it launched in 2021. We were hooked as soon as we laid eyes on the frozen margarita machine, and then after one bite of the fresh and spicy aguachile, we knew this spot would be one of our regular haunts.

Patrons no longer need to find the alleyway entrance in downtown Vancouver to get their Chupito fix; the new, temporary location can be found at 2450 Yukon St.

Located directly next to La Taqueria, the Chupito team has worked to transform its new space with its unique vibe and hours.

The new destination is completely separate from its neighbour, thanks to a new divider and independent entrance.

Folks can expect to see the talented team from the previous Chupito location, including Tara and Erick behind the bar, and Chef Maria Ponce leading the kitchen team.

This Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand cocktail spot will officially open on Wednesday, April 16.

You can find Chupito open at its new location Wednesday and Sunday from 5 to 11 p.m., and Thursday to Saturday from 5 p.m. until late.
