50-year-old dessert shop known for dipped ice cream cones to open first Vancouver location

Good news, chocolate lovers: a 50-year-old Quebec-based chocolate shop is gearing up to open in Vancouver.
Chocolats Favoris is gearing up to open its first location in the city at 14 Water Street in Gastown. This was the previous location of Native Shoes.
The chain has been making chocolates since 1973 and is best known for its unique chocolate-dipped ice creams available in all sorts of flavours and toppings. Its current monthly feature is a strawberry and cream ice cream with dehydrated strawberry pieces, a white chocolate drizzle, and mini meringues.
It also serves what it calls the ChocoFav Poutine, made with crispy dessert fries and mini marshmallows on a bed of soft ice cream, all topped with your choice of chocolate sauce flavour.

Each of its chocolate treats is made at its 42,000-square-foot factory located in Quebec by a team of artisan chocolatiers.
An exact opening date has yet to be shared for the location, but on Instagram, it says we can expect it in Spring 2025.
