One of two victims from a Friday evening shooting in Richmond has died of his injuries.
Homicide investigators are taking over the case now that it’s classed as a murder, according to a tweet from the Lower Mainland Integrated Homicide Investigation Team.

Mounties say shots rang out around 7:30 pm on Friday in the 9000 block of Capstan Way. Two victims were injured and both were taken to hospital, according to an RCMP news release. One of these victims passed away Saturday.
Police haven’t made any arrests yet, though they believe the shooting was targeted.
On Saturday, police were still gathering evidence near Capstan and Garden City, and bullet holes could be seen in the glass of Manzo Japanese Restuarant.

The day before this shooting, two drivers also exchanged gunfire at a Richmond gas station near No 3 and Blundell Roads. Police said that violence was also targeted, but have not said whether the two incidents are related.
