Canucks superfan Bruce Ng is at it again.

By day, he works in IT as an application support specialist. By night, this proud father of two boys specializes in pumpkins… at least at this time of year.

Bruce revealed his now much anticipated Halloween Jack-o-lanterns this week, which as always, have a Canucks theme.

He carved two pumpkins this year. The first was a nod to “Shotgun Jake,” Brock Boeser, and Bo Horvat.

Bruce’s other design honours the Canucks’ prized 19-year-old rookie, Elias Pettersson, aka “Dekey Pete.”

This is the ninth year that Bruce has designed these pieces of art.

“Some years the topics for the designs are clear,” Bruce told Daily Hive, adding that he hopes his 2012 Stanley Cup design didn’t curse the team. “Last season when Brock Boeser was so hot at the beginning of the season, ‘Brocktober’ seemed like a good design choice. Other times, it will be a favourite player or memory.”

If you thought Bruce had an artistic background – like graphic design or something – you thought wrong.

“Artistic skill? Hah!” Bruce said when queried. “I do not consider myself to be artistic or creative. I enjoy clean and neat designs though, and I’m a bit of a control freak perfectionist. I’m also very focused, so those characteristics lend themselves well to pumpkin carving.”

Indeed they do. Here’s a look back at some of his creations since 2010:
