Where to see Canada Day fireworks in Metro Vancouver this summer

Canada Day is coming up fast, and it’s a big day of celebration and reflection across the country.
One of our favourite moments of the festivities is the fireworks displays, and a number of events in and around Metro Vancouver have huge ones planned for their July 1 extravaganzas.
To help you plan your Canada Day, we’ve compiled a list of cities and celebrations that will illuminate the night sky. We will add more to the list as they get announced.
Surrey Canada Day

Surrey Canada Day
What: The City of Surrey’s annual Canada Day celebration will take place at the Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheatre in Cloverdale on Wednesday, July 1. The free, all-ages celebration features interactive activities, vendors and food trucks, and a spectacular fireworks show.
The incredible lineup of events at the Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheatre includes headliner Josh Ross, the first male Canadian country artist in nearly three decades to reach number one on the Billboard Country Airplay chart.

Canada Day in Coquitlam
What: Kicking off at noon, Canada Day in Coquitlam features family-friendly live entertainment, multicultural performances, food trucks, adventure games, an eco-zone, and more.
Make sure to stick around for the fireworks over Lafarge Lake in the evening.
When: Wednesday, July 1, 2026
Time: Noon to 10:30 p.m; Fireworks at 10 p.m.
Where: Town Centre Park – 1299 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam
Admission: Free
Canada Day Streetfest on Central in Burnaby
What: Canada Day in Burnaby will be filled with fun events and activities to commemorate the occasion, including Edmonds Plaza and Park and Burnaby Village Museum throughout the day.
To cap off the festivities, there will also be fireworks in Central Park. StreetFest on Central will offer a family zone at Civic Square, all-ages activities along Central Boulevard, food vendors, a beer garden, and free live performances in Central Park.

Canada Day in Port Coquitlam

City of Port Coquitlam
What: Port Coquitlam’s Canada Day event takes place at Castle Park, and it features live performances by Canadian icons April Wine and country star Owen Riegling. The event also includes family-friendly activities, food trucks, market vendors, and a fireworks display.

Canada Day by the Bay
What: Head to the annual Canada Day by the Bay celebration at Memorial Park and West Beach in White Rock and enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities throughout the day. There will be live music, a kids’ zone, a vendor marketplace, and a fireworks finale at 10:15 p.m.

Canada Day in Delta
What: The City of Delta is home to a huge Canada Day celebration on July 1 at Chalmers Park. Bring out the family to check out live music, dance and cultural performances, food trucks and vendors, and a stunning fireworks display to end the night.
