106 bus trips along 29 routes cancelled on Thursday due to transit strike

As of Thursday morning, 106 bus trips along 29 different routes have been cancelled due to the transit strike.

Notably, there are 10 trips cancelled on the 145 SFU/Production Station and 10 trips cancelled on the 555 Carvolth Exchange/Lougheed Station.

On Wednesday morning, Unifor, the union representing nearly 5,000 Coast Mountain Bus Company (CMBC) employees announced that a “complete system shutdown” would be coming to Metro Vancouver’s transit system next week.

The shutdown would take place next week on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. During that time, no members of Unifor Local 111 or 2200 would report for work and rather, would begin picketing.

As of Thursday morning, one or more bus trips along the following routes have been cancelled:

  • 10 Granville/Downtown

  • 41 Joyce Station/Crown/UBC
  • 43 Joyce Station/UBC
  • 99 Commercial-Broadway/UBC (B-Line)
  • 22nd St Station/Marpole Loop
  • 116 Edmonds Station/Metrotown Station
  • 143 Burquitlam Station/SFU
  • 144 SFU/Metrotown Station
  • 145 SFU/Production Station
  • 152 Coquitlam Central Station/Lougheed Station
  • 153 Coquitlam Central Station/Braid Station
  • 156 Braid Station/Lougheed Station
