Man arrested in Burnaby after crashing stolen truck

One man has been arrested in Burnaby this afternoon after crashing a truck that was reported stolen from Langley early this morning.

According to Surrey RCMP, officers in Burnaby intercepted a black Ford F150 around 2 pm, after the truck was involved in a collision in the 3800 block of Nithsdate Street.

“Through a coordinated effort which involved Officers from Langley RCMP, Surrey RCMP, Burnaby RCMP, New Westminster Police, Vancouver Police, and the Lower Mainland Emergency Response Team, and Air 1, an adult male was taken into police custody,” said RCMP Sgt. Dale Carr.

At this point, police have not laid any charges, as the investigation is ongoing. No injuries were reported in the crash.
