Burnaby RCMP officer hurt in hit-and-run this morning

A Burnaby RCMP officer is currently recovering in hospital after being injured in a hit-and-run on Wednesday morning.

According to police, the incident took place shortly before 11 am, at Parker Street and Willingdon Avenue.

While details one the incident are slim at this point, police said they are looking for a suspect vehicle in connection with the incident, which they describe as grey Dodge Nitro SUV.

Police said the officer suffered non-life threatening injuries, and more information on the incident is expected to be released this afternoon.
