Burnaby RCMP is warning drivers to slow down after officers stopped three consecutive drivers for excessive speeding in a residential area.
In a tweet posted on December 29, Burnaby RCMP said the three drivers were caught going 98, 102, and 136 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.
Tonight one of our Traffic Enforcement Officers stopped 3 drivers in row doing 98, 102 and 136 km/hr in a 50 km/hr zone entering a residential area. Each driver recieved a excessive speeding ticket and a 7 day vehicle impoundment #RoadSafety pic.twitter.com/iMn7tt1iLL

Burnaby RCMP told Daily Hive the vehicles were stopped travelling Westbound on Marine Way near Joffre Avenue in Burnaby close to Boundary Road.
The drivers had their vehicles impounded for seven days and each received an excessive speeding ticket.
In BC, a $368 fine is issued for drivers caught going over 40 km/h the limit, and drivers going over 60 km/h are ticketed $483.
