What: Many countries around the world are currently battling an opioid epidemic and knowing the science behind addictions is one way to help you and your community mitigate harm. This talk by Dr. Deyar Asmaro in partnership with Capilano Universit will introduce biological and pharmacological concepts that are relevant to understanding addiction behaviour.

What: In Speaking with Spirits, participants will look to ancestors, plants and the land for guidance and inspiration. Workshop participants will be offered collaborative and multidisciplinary writing exercises to reflect upon the stories they carry with them each day, ones that have come before them, and those still to come.
