One of China's biggest bubble tea brands opens first Metro Vancouver location
Metro Vancouver Bubble Tea fans will soon have another spot to get their boba on, and this one comes from one of the biggest brands in China.
TeaByDo, which has a few locations in Toronto, is soft-opening in Richmond from Aug. 25 to Aug. 27 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
This location marks just the fourth in Canada, and it’ll be offering 15 per cent off fan-favourite drinks like Mango Pomelo Sago and the classic handmade Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea.
As an added bonus, for anyone who posts about their visit on social media and shares it with staff, they’ll get a free TeaByDo sticky note.
The new store is located at 8328 Capstan Way, Unit 1126.
If TeaByDo doesn’t ring any bells, it’s also known as Cha Panda outside of English-speaking markets. Cha Panda is a massive global bubble tea brand with over 9,000 stores around the globe. Some reports call it the third biggest brand in all of China, and investor filings and social media posts from the brand indicate that it sells over a billion cups of bubble tea every year.
Their most popular signature flavour, which will be available at the Richmond location, is the aforementioned Mango Pomelo Sago.
After the soft opening on Aug. 25, the grand opening event takes place from Aug. 28 to Aug. 30. Anyone who buys a drink will receive a scratch card, and TeaByDo says that every scratch card is a winner, offering exclusive prizes.
For the grand opening event, if you post on social media, you’ll get a limited-edition Vancouver fridge magnet.

There will also be other deals to take advantage of during the grand opening of the latest Metro Vancouver bubble tea shop. While there is no shortage of places to grab some bubble tea in the region, TeaByDo looks to be one of the major players.
