Vancouver bakery to celebrate Bruno Mars concerts with over 1,000 free doughnuts | Daily Hive

Things are starting to get romantic in Vancouver now that we’re just a few days away from Bruno Mars’ record-breaking five concerts at BC Place. And to celebrate, local Vancouver bakery Mello is giving away over 1,000 Bruno Mars-themed donuts.

Mello is giving away 350 free doughnuts every day on Oct. 16, 17, and 18 at Holt Renfrew Vancouver to kick off The Romantic Tour in style (that’s a whopping 1,050 doughnuts for you math whizzes out there).

The giveaway starts at noon daily and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Plus, no purchase is necessary to get one of these sweet treats.

But don’t think these will be just any ordinary doughnuts, as Mello shared that these will be its limited-edition The Romantic Donut, which are filled with raspberry jam and “made with love.”

Mello isn’t the only one getting into the Bruno Mars spirit, as it was just revealed this morning that the celebrity will be the first music artist to voice a SkyTrain announcement.

Starting today, Wednesday, Oct. 14, passengers passing through Stadium-Chinatown Station will hear a special pre-recorded voice announcement from Mars periodically on the days of his five BC Place Stadium concerts. His message will join the station’s usual announcements.

The dates to listen to his voice announcements are Oct. 14, 16, 17, 20, and 21, matching the dates of his Vancouver stadium concerts.
