Bridgeport SkyTrain station reopened after police incident closure

Bridgeport SkyTrain station in Richmond reopened Sunday afternoon after being closed for several hours because of a police incident.

TransLink tweeted around 2 pm that normal Canada Line service has resumed, and trains are stopping at the station again.

Brigeport Station was closed to the public Sunday because of a police incident, according to earlier tweets from TransLink.

Daily Hive has reached out to transit police for more information, but has not yet heard back.

TransLink advised riders to get on the appropriate train to YVR or Richmond in advance, or get off at Marine Drive instead if they need to switch.

Buses were being rerouted, as they were not allowed inside Bridgeport station while police investigated.

Bridgeport is the northernmost SkyTrain Canada Line station in Richmond, and the point where trains headed to the airport or and Brighouse Station part ways.
