Editor’s note September 11, 5:17 pm: Brewhall has since reopened for dine-in, takeout, and delivery. The staff member who served the guest has tested negative for COVID-19.

Popular Vancouver burger and beer joint Brewhall has temporarily closed its doors after learning of a potential coronavirus exposure.

The 97 E 2nd Avenue restaurant and craft brewery released a statement Thursday evening outlining the details they had so far.

“We have been informed of a potential exposure to COVID-19 by a guest who visited our beerhall on Saturday, September 5th from 11:30pm-1 am,” read the statement.

Brewhall said it was waiting to hear about the next steps from Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH), who deemed this potential exposure low risk to anyone who was visiting the restaurant on September 5 at that time.
