Brass Fish Tavern aims to open in the Marine Building in late January

It’s almost time for the Donnelly Group’s latest Vancouver project to open its doors.

The Brass Fish Tavern, located at 385 Burrard Street, will be aiming to open late January, which isn’t too far away from now.

The ground floor Marine Building space was formerly occupied by the now-shuttered Elephant & Castle Pub and Restaurant.

Named for the “art deco creatures which adorn the building’s famous entrance” this will be the latest addition to the Donnelly Group’s ever-expanding restaurant and pub portfolio in Vancouver and beyond.

Some more details about the new concept have been revealed ahead of the opening, like the fact that there will be three distinct spaces in the eatery: the main floor tavern, a mezzanine parlour, and a sushi bar.

The culinary program here will be led by Chef Clement Chan (Torafuku, Blue Water Café, Chambar).

Folks can also expect a large selection of local beers along with an elevated high-ball cocktail program featuring beverages like Shiso-infused Whiskey Sodas and Passionfruit Palomas to name a few.

Brass Fish Tavern will be designed by Ricky Alvarez and offer a “respectful salute to the building’s history.”

We’ll keep you posted on an exact opening date for this spot, stay tuned.
