A railway crew rescued a bobcat Thursday that was stuck to a cold train track.

The wild cat had caught a duck to eat, but froze to the metal rail as it settled down to eat its meal near Trail, BC.

Coby Reid and his colleagues got some hot water to free bobcat from the train track,Ā  he said in a Facebook post.

“[It] wasn’t happy, that’s for sure. Was protecting his duck,” Reid wrote in a comment.

Saved this little guy today he was enjoying his breakfast (duck) and froze to the rail. We got some warm water and freed him up #railway #notalynx #bobcat #trailbc #kootenaylife
