Bishop's Restaurant announces new closing date after 35 years of operation

Jul 31 2020, 6:44 pm

Plot twist: Bishop’s Restaurant is no longer closing on August 1.

The longtime culinary establishment announced it would be shutting down its Kitsilano eatery after 35 years of business back in March, but things have changed.

Now, you can find the 2183 W 4th Avenue restaurant open for the remainder of the year. This is the best news we’ve heard in 2020 yet.

Restaurateur John Bishop is still retiring and so is the establishment, but you now have five additional months to head to this iconic farm-to-table spot.

Bishop’s Restaurant now offers two 20-person sittings Tuesday to Saturday from 5:30 pm to close. Patrons can also opt for takeout via “Bishop’s at Home.”
