Beaver captured going for stroll in popular Kitsilano park (VIDEO)

Sun and summer temperatures have returned to Vancouver (at least for now), and it seems like everyone is taking the opportunity to get out and soak up some rays.

And at Kitsilano’s Vanier Park, this included one sun-seeker of a different species – specifically, a rather rotund beaver.

While not super uncommon in the waters around Vancouver, it’s not often one is seen casually going for a stroll on a public walkway.

However, this was exactly the case on Sunday, and fortunately, it was all captured on video, and shared via Reddit, by steenerthemalo.

While these types of sightings are pretty exciting for people, it’s important to remember that beavers are still wild animals, and as such, should be given plenty of space and not be disturbed by anyone.

And with this week’s forecast in Vancouver calling for nothing but blue skies and bright sunshine, you never know what kind of other animals might come out to enjoy the weather as well.
