BCIT cancels classes due to snow

Dec 6 2016, 6:11 am

After the first snowfall of the season in Metro Vancouver, BCIT has cancelled classes and closed all of its campuses for the rest of the day.

“Due to winter weather conditions in the Lower Mainland, all BCIT campuses will be closed for the remainder of the day, today, Monday, December 5, for day-time classes and evening part-time classes,” a statement on BCIT’s website read.

“We are continuing to monitor the weather and road conditions and encourage students, staff, and faculty to visit here frequently for updates.”

The move follows SFU’s decision to shutdown its Burnaby Mountain campus earlier in the day.
