It’s a heart-pounding perspective of the BC wildfires and it was all captured on video.
In a video posted to Twitter and Youtube, Sally Aitken shares footage from the passenger seat of a vehicle escaping the flames of the Hanceville, BC fire on Sunday evening.
“Hwy 20 was open and it was still daylight above,” she writes.
Hanceville is located about 90 km west of Williams Lake
Aitken, who is a Professor with UBC’s Faculty of Forestry later Tweeted that she had made it safely through the blaze and back to clean air.
Thanks to the steel nerves and awesome driving skills of Jack Woods @Use_Wood we are safely back to clean air. https://t.co/PVs6BUMVNw
