For a couple of glorious weeks this spring, passengers will be able to set sail and save money at the same time with BC Ferries.

The company announced this week that from March 11 to 30, passengers on select sailings will travel half price, and kids 11 years old or younger will travel free.

“We’re pleased to once again offer an opportunity for discounted travel around Spring Break that also includes complimentary travel for kids,” said Janet Carson, BC Ferries’ Vice President of Marketing and Travel Services in a statement. “The discount is also available on select BC Ferries Vacations packages for customers looking for a Spring Break getaway.”

The discount is applicable on adult, BC senior, student and persons with disabilities regular passenger fares. The complimentary travel for kids is applicable on a child’s fare.

On South Coast routes, the promotion will be in effect Monday through Thursday, Saturdays and Sundays on select sailings from March 11 – 30.

On North Coast routes including Port Hardy–Prince Rupert, Prince Rupert–Haida Gwaii and Alliford Bay–Skidegate routes, as well as the Discovery Coast Connector, the 50% discount and kids travel free offer will apply on every sailing throughout the promotion.

ExperienceTM Card users who receive a year-round discount that is less than 50% will have their discount increased to match the promotional fare.

Space on the select promotional sailings is on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are recommended to ensure a spot on the sailing of choice.
