A popular Filipino fried chicken franchise is expanding in B.C.

B.C.’s Jollibee fans should get excited, as the franchise is opening more than a dozen new locations across the province.
While the Filipino restaurant chain already has four franchises in B.C., it recently announced that it signed a multi-unit development agreement in July 2026 with a multi-brand food retail operator to bring a whopping 16 new restaurants.
Currently, B.C.’s Jollibee locations are in Vancouver (at 833 Granville St. and 2549 Cambie St.) and Surrey.
Earlier this year, Jollibee also announced a 10-store agreement in Edmonton. With it already having 28 operating restaurants in Canada, these two agreements will expand its footprint to 54 restaurants across the country over the next five years.

“Canada continues to be an attractive growth market for Jollibee, supported by strong consumer demand, strong brand relevance, and increasing interest from experienced franchise operators,” said Richard Shin, Jollibee Group’s chief financial and risk officer and Jollibee Group International CEO, in a release.
“This latest agreement reflects the growing appeal of the Jollibee brand and our confidence in the long-term opportunity in Canada. As we continue to expand through disciplined franchising, we remain focused on partnering with operators who share our commitment to operational excellence, sustainable growth, and building scale in priority markets.”
Jollibee is the largest fast-food chain brand in the Philippines, operating a network of more than 1,700 stores around the world.
Jollibee’s Granville location was its first in B.C., and opened in 2022 to a massive crowd of 5,000 diners waiting to try out the menu of Jolly Crispy Chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, and hot-dog-studded Jolly Spaghetti.
