BC health officials to give live COVID-19 update on Thursday afternoon
Health officials in British Columbia are scheduled to give a live COVID-19 update on Thursday afternoon.
The announcement follows 640 new test-positive cases that were confirmed on Wednesday.
There are 9,950 active cases of COVID-19 in the province, and 10,538 people are under active public health monitoring as a result of identified exposure to known cases.
Currently, 362 individuals are hospitalized with COVID-19, 91 of whom are in intensive care. The remaining are recovering at home in self-isolation.
There were also 24 new COVID-related deaths announced yesterday, bringing the total number in BC to 692
