BC Coroners Service investigating death of young girl in Lower Mainland

The BC Coroners Service (BCCS) said it is investigating the death of a young girl in the Lower Mainland this week.

BCCS Andy Watson told Daily Hive the incident happened on Wednesday and the BCCS is “in the early stages” of a fact-finding investigation.

While further details are slim at this point, Watson said the investigation “will look to determine who died, how, where, when and by what means.”

Due to the privacy of the deceased, “per the Coroners Act and provincial privacy legislation,” Watson said the BCCS is not releasing or confirming the girl’s name or age.
