BC health officials announce 15 new coronavirus cases, three more deaths

British Columbia health officials have announced 15 new test-positive coronavirus cases and another three deaths as a result of COVID-19.

At a press conference on Thursday, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry said the total number of recorded cases in the province now sits at 2,392.

Broken down by health region, there are 878 cases in Vancouver Coastal Health, 1,149 in Fraser Health, 126 on Vancouver Island, 181 in Interior Health, and 58 in Northern Health.

The new deaths bring BC’s coronavirus death toll to 135

Out of the total number of cases, 58 people are in hospital, with 12 of them in intensive care. A total of 1,885 people are now considered fully recovered.
