A popular B.C. brewery will be closing for the foreseeable future, with renovations being the reason for the closure.
Old Yale Brewing‘s Chilliwack location will be closing temporarily as of Sept. 28 for what the brewery is calling a “comprehensive renovation and refresh of the space.”
“As our original home and the heart of our brewing story, Chillwack deserves a space that reflects everything our community and team stand for,” said Heather Perdue, the brand and marketing strategist for the brewery.
“We’re taking this time to reinvest in the experience — both for our guests and our staff — and we can’t wait to show you what we have in store.”
Some of the enhancements to be included in the renovations will focus on improving the interior space and customer experience. Design elements will be updated, and new features will be introduced.
Thankfully, if you’re a fan of the sips that the B.C. brewery has to offer, the Abbotsford and Beaumont locations will remain open, “with the same great beer, delicious food and exceptional atmosphere fans know and love.”
Managing partner Zach Van Leeuwen said this was one of the hardest decisions the team had to make.
“After nearly four years of exploring every option, we knew it was necessary to create the kind of space and experience our customers deserve.”
You’ll also still be able to find Old Yale’s brews at liquor stores around Chilliwack, the Fraser Valley, and at restaurants in and around those regions.
And if you’re a pumpkin spice kinda gal or boy, there is an option that might be calling your name.
