According to Victoria police, officers received a report on Tuesday that the python went missing in the area of the 200-block of Bay Street, near the Galloping Goose Trail.

Police said they discovered the python has been missing since July 2, but was not reported until this week.

According to police, the python is 4’5″ in length, and “Animal Control is aware of the incident.”

Police also noted that ball pythons are nonvenomous constrictors.

Regardless, anyone who sees the python is asked to call 911, and anyone who may have any further information about the incident is asked to call the VicPD non-emergency line at 250-995-7654.
