The bright yellow signage has gone up at the 1066 Mainland Street location where Lime and Moon Pie Company used to be, signalling a new sweet spot will be “baking soon” in the trendy neighbourhood of Yaletown.

From what we can see, patrons can expect Japanese desserts and pastries, but the bakery will be revealing the menu as their opening date nears.

Bake49 will not be the only bakery on the block, as its new-ish neighbour Angus T (1036 Mainland Street) serves up croissants and baked goods just a few steps away.
