One of Vancouver’s most popular annual shopping events won’t be making a return for Fall 2021, after all.

Aritzia has shared with Daily Hive that due to concerns over COVID-19, specifically, the rising case counts, the 2021 Aritizia Warehouse Sale will no longer take place.

“At Aritzia, the health and safety of our clients, our people, and communities are our top priority,” a spokesperson tells Daily Hive Vancouver. “As we’ve been preparing for our 2021 Aritzia Warehouse Sale, we’ve continued to closely monitor COVID-19 developments in BC, including the rising case counts.”

Earlier in August, the brand revealed that it was planning to bring back the event this year, with hiring already underway.

“Out of an abundance of caution, we have decided we will not hold our 2021 Warehouse sale given the unique nature of this event.”

The popular shopping event typically takes place over several days at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

Items would include house brands such as Wilfred, TNA, Babaton, and Talula at 50% to 90% off the original retail cost.
