Arc’teryx's new Robson Street flagship store opening this month with community celebrations
The construction scaffolding at the northwest corner of the intersection of Burrard Street and Robson Street has come down, revealing a substantially complete new downtown Vancouver flagship store for Arc’teryx.
Crews are now well into the process of completing the finishing touches to the exterior and interior renovations and tenant improvements on the 1911-built, single-storey commercial building at 1001 Robson St., replacing the longtime Roots flagship store location and La Vie en Rose.
This will be a 6,430 sq. ft. new expanded flagship store for Arc’teryx, replacing its existing location just to the south of the intersection.

Arc’teryx announced this week the new store will host its grand opening celebrations over the weekend of Saturday, July 26, and Sunday, July 27, 2025, with all-day DJ sets, special edition products to shop, and refreshments from local vendors, including Timbertrain and GoSip coffee cart.
Ahead of the store’s grand opening and to celebrate the company’s continued growth in their hometown, Arc’teryx will host a climbing wall activation nearby at Jack Poole Plaza this weekend on Saturday, July 12. In partnership with the Hive, there will be a bouldering and top rope wall, as well as a market-style setup showcasing local community partners, live DJ sets, and food and drink from local vendors.
Last month, Roots opened a new replacement flagship store just a block to the east at 919 Robson St. — located at the northwest corner of the intersection of Hornby Street and Robson Street, just across from the Vancouver Art Gallery and Robson Square, replacing spaces previously occupied by the Peloton and Tesla showrooms.
As well, JD Sports also recently opened its Robson Street flagship store, while the luxury full-line Ralph Lauren store opened up just to the north of Alberni Street.
