Air Canada plane lands safely after emergency landing en route to Vancouver from Edmonton

An Air Canada plane that took off from Edmonton Tuesday morning made an emergency landing at Vancouver International Airport.

A spokesperson for YVR confirmed the pilots of the requested emergency landed around 8 am on Tuesday.

It turns out the flight was en route to Vancouver anyway, after it had taken off from Edmonton at 7 am local time.

“The aircraft landed safely, YVR Fire and Rescue responded immediately and the aircraft taxied to an available gate where all passengers deplaned,” YVR said.
